Take a break from all the schedules and screens and reconnect with your family as you engage in actual FaceTime. It’s a fun-filled weekend getaway with a whole lot of take-away. We'll kick off with Friday Night Lights – a meaningful and interactive Shabbat experience.
Then, spend the weekend exploring our picturesque 2,800 acres – all of which is less than 45 minutes from Los Angeles and feels completely off the grid. Hang out and play with your children in a variety of camp activities such as professionally guided hiking and exploration, swimming, rock climbing, yoga, sports, art, music, dance, and even a bonfire sing-a-long complete with s’mores. In the evenings, our counselors will look after sleeping little ones so parents have time to mix and mingle at adult night activities.
There will be learning opportunities, inspiring discussions, games, and projects for children (with and without their parents) and for adults. Also, plenty of quality time to interact with friends, old and new. Guiding you on your camping journey will be Rabbi Gary Ezra Oren, Vice-President, Dean of the Whizin Center for Continuing Education.
Of course there will be food – for what would the weekend be without delicious eats? All kosher meals are included with plenty of choices to keep all members of the family happy and full Cabin-style accommodations are available for adults and families. Each room has multiple beds, a private bathroom, air conditioning and a porch. For camp-age kids, there will also be “Bunk” experiences available with dynamic counselors leading the “lights out” routine. It’s a great way to try out “sleep away” camp with parents right down the road. In addition, childcare will be provided for children under 5.
$250 per adult, Teens (13-17) $125, Children (6-12) $85,
Children (3-5) $60, Children under 2 free
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we welcome you to invite some friends and catch the camp spirit and join us for this unique weekend that brings together Jewish values, community, nature and relaxation.
